THE SMURFS
Beloved Blue Icons
THE SMURFS™
Created in 1958 by Belgian artist Pierre Culliford, known as Peyo, the Smurfs have become beloved icons across generations. Standing just three apples high, these cheerful blue characters live in a village of mushroom-shaped houses hidden deep in a magical forest. They value friendship, teamwork, respect for nature, and each Smurf has a unique personality that brings their community to life. From comics to television and film, the Smurfs continue to entertain families around the world. The animated series launched in 2021 is broadcast on Nickelodeon, free-to-air channels, and Netflix. Their newest big-screen adventure, produced by Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon Animation and starring Rihanna as Smurfette, will premiere worldwide in mid-July 2025.
AC/DC
Rock & Roll Legends
In the vibrant city of Sydney, Australia, back in November 1973, a hard rock band was born that would electrify the world: AC/DC. The band's journey began with two brothers, Malcolm and Angus Young, who were inspired by a simple yet powerful moment. Their sister Margaret spotted the initials "AC/DC" on a sewing machine, and the name struck a chord. "AC/DC," standing for "alternating current/direct current," perfectly captured the band's high-voltage energy and dynamic style of rock and roll.
From these humble beginnings, AC/DC skyrocketed to global fame, selling an estimated 200 million albums worldwide, with 68 million of those in the United States alone. Their electrifying performances and relentless spirit made them legends in the world of rock music.
