A new all-ceramic version broadens the Longines HydroConquest collection
Longines offers a new all-black ceramic version of the HydroConquest timepiece. The dynamic profile of this watch completes a line recently augmented with variations featuring a bezel enhanced by a coloured ceramic insert. Combining the technical excellence and traditional elegance of the brand, the HydroConquest collection draws its inspiration from the world of aquatic sports.
Longines has recently given its HydroConquest line a new brilliance by creating sleek models featuring a bezel embellished with a coloured ceramic insert. Today, the brand goes even further in using this exclusive material with a model entirely made from black ceramic whose dial proudly displays its chemical composition: ZrO2. This highly technical and scratch-resistant material is perfectly suited to the sporty look of the new HydroConquest watch. Its boldness is further heightened by the different finishes of each of its components: a matte dial, a polished case, a round satin bezel and a back blending a circular satin and matte finish.
An iconic representation of the sports watches created by Longines, the HydroConquest collection meets the expectations of those who are drawn to the open sea while remaining true to the elegance of the Swiss watchmaker. Preserving the traditional style of diving watches, the new HydroConquest is inspired by the unique requirements of the sport. Its water resistance to 300 metres, unidirectional rotating bezel, screw-in crown and double security folding clasp are all features that emphasize the style of this timepiece.
Inside its 43 mm case, this three-hand and a calendar watch features a self-winding mechanical movement (L888.3) developed exclusively for Longines. The radiant white of its Super-LumiNova® coated indexes and hands contrasts with the deep black of its dial. The new HydroConquest comes with a black rubber strap offering precise size adjustment for optimal comfort.

Swiss watch brand Longines, whose passion for equestrian sports dates back more than a century and a half, is delighted to announce that the talented dressage rider Sönke Rothenberger has become its latest Ambassador of Elegance. In a career spanning more than a decade, the German rider has collected a string of titles and medals, notably with his iconic gelding Cosmo in the past few years. Sönke’s impressive results include a double German national champion title in 2018 (Grand Prix Special and Grand Prix Freestyle) and team gold at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games, as well as at the 2017 Longines FEI European Championships in Gothenburg (SWE) and at the most recent FEI World Equestrian Games in Tryon (USA).
As part of the work undertaken by the brand to support the talented athletes of tomorrow, Longines awarded Sönke Rothenberger the 2016 Longines Rising Star prize during the FEI Awards ceremony, in recognition of his remarkable talent and his extraordinary commitment to equestrian sport.

Longines and equestrian sport
