Hanhart‘s brand new and strictly limited PIONEER Mk II 80 Jahre Jubilaeum is dedicated to a very special anniversary: 80 years of PIONEER Mk II. Exactly 80 years ago, the historical model served as one of the first pilot’s chronographs. Today, the PIONEER Mk II 80 Jahre Jubilaeum combines the unique features of the past with the green colors of the Black Forest. This special model is limited to 200 pieces! The Hanhart PIONEER Mk II 80 Jahre Jubilaeum – made with attention to detail as a tribute to the historic Mk II with the famous “Calibre 41” movement from 1940.
In 1940 the production of the two pusher model Calibre 41” started. The large crown and the asymmetrical pusher distance were already then typical Hanhart characteristics and still are today. Other features were: black dial with luminous numbers, recessed seconds, and 30 minutes counter, luminous hands, nickel plated movement with screw balance and Incabloc shock protection.
All Hanhart chronographs from the PIONEER collection have a stainless steel case back. Here, the historical pilot’s watches from the 1940s serve as a model. On this limited special edition, we used a sapphire glass case back for the first time on a PIONEER chronograph to provide a view of the decorated movement with Hanhart rotor. The reliable, robust and accurate ETA 7753 serves as the basis.
Behind the sapphire glass case back of the PIONEER Mk II 80 Jahre Jubilaeum, the reliable Calibre ETA 7753 works in best Swiss Made quality. In addition to the chronograph function, it offers a power reserve of up to 42 hours. The decorated movement has a pearl cut (special circular pattern) and blue colored screws.
80 years of history in a 40 mm case. The red pusher is made of robust HyCeram® and the pusher distance is asymmetrically arranged, like 80 years ago. To give the anniversary chronograph an unmistakable design, inspired by the Black Forest, green was chosen as the color of the dial and the case has a matt sandblasted finish.
The hands and numerals of the limited PIONEER Mk II 80 Jahre Jubilaeum are coated with Super LumiNova® Greenline C1. This ensures optimal readability at day and night time.
A green canvas strap makes it comfortable to wear from day one. For extra comfort on the skin, the green canvas strap has Alcantara on t he inside. A sandblasted pin buckle ensures a good grip.
The new, limited PIONEER Mk II 80 Jahre Jubilaeum is now available for 2.037,31 Euro including 16% German VAT. In the coming year after the adjustment to 19% VAT, the price will be 2,090.00 Euro.
The Hanhart 417 Flieger Chronograph, is one of the most iconic pilot’s chronographs in history. We are proud to re-issue this faithful homage rendered in quick-patinating bronze, inspired by the vintage brass watches as their chrome coating wore away.
Over the years, Hanhart has continued to manufacture reliable and high value proposition sports chronographs based on the iconography of its legendary Fliegers. However, when it came to creating the homage to the legendary 417 for 2020, Hanhart started with a clean slate, keeping a close eye on the original proportions of the 417. This meant incorporating a more practical hand-wound chronograph movement, the Sellita SW 510. Next, the right bezel with fine fluting and the right domed sapphire to replicate the look of the original watch.
Finally, to recreate the effect of brassing on vintage brass 417 Chronographs, we selected bronze as the case material. We, specifically, opted for bronze CuSn8 that expresses patina faster as befits a rugged motorcycle trail chronograph.
We’ve decided to pair the watch with our favorite British heritage waxed cotton motorcycle jacket, a black Belstaff Trialmaster because we feel from a quality and style perspective it is unparalleled. Note that it has brass hardware all around including the buckles at the belt and throat latch where some other brands use plastic.
The watch is priced at USD 1,900, measures 42mm in diameter like the original and will be made in just 150 examples. The Belstaff Trialmaster is priced at USD 590. However, if you choose to purchase them together, we are pleased to extend them to you at USD 2,300 — a saving of USD 190, and an example of our enduring commitment to offering you the best values in the online world. Because we believe our readers and clients rock and we want to always accord them our respect and gratitude.
Congratulations to the 50 year anniversary!
Hanhart’s brand new and strictly limited S-Series is dedicated to a very special anniversary: 50 years of Saab 105 at the Austrian Air Force.
The design of the instrument watches is based on the cockpit clocks of the aircraft Saab 105, bringing a piece of history of the Austrian Air Force to the wrist of the wearer. The S 105 OE and S 105 OE GMT are based on the cockpit clock of the Saab 105 that is used by the Austrian Air Force and the SK 60 GMT is based on the clock of the Swedish model of the Saab 105, which is called SK 60.
As with the entire Hanhart collection, the watchmakers focus on functionality, quality and contemporary aesthetics. Ever since, the company’s timepieces have been geared towards the following principles: maximum precision and reliability, perfect readability, simple and secure operation, and the greatest possible robustness.
Even with this limited special edition, precision, reliability, perfect readability by day and night and safe operation have the highest priority in the production.
A diameter of 40mm, the simple design and the yellow accents in the SK 60 GMT, stand out and make the Hanhart S series unique.
