Panerai serves its latest offering in a spirit of reinvention. Its Radiomir 1940 collection has achieved a large following; the watch series, a harmonious marriage of Radiomir and Luminor, balances beauty and movement in one delightful accessory. This time, Panerai reveals four exquisite models featuring a GMT complication, a nice surprise being the first non-special-edition to receive such innovation.

Acciao is one of the more prominent models, a gorgeous steel model that showcases a clean charm against a mysterious black dial. It sits nicely on the wrist, featuring a modern typography that infuses fun into the austere design. The large baton indices as well as the extra-large numbers are all covered with Superluminova for excellent visibility.

One outstanding factor between the 3 Days GMT Automatic Acciaio and its other relative design, the 3 Days GMT Power Reserve Automatic, is that the latter features a power reserve display on the dial. The previous however, showcases a clean, dapper look, offering a cosmopolitan aesthetic for minimalist lovers. All models included in the Radiomir 1940 series will star a 45 mm steel case. Two dial variants come with each model, something the maison calls Paris Hobnails, while the other, an illusion of vertical stripes that offers texture on the stark dial.

The Panerai Radimir 1940 3 Days GMT Automatic Acciaio will be powered by a new movement called P.4001, a derivation from the automatic P.4000 which included an off-center micro rotor that circles in both directions. It also comes with a 3-day power reserve, stored inside 2 spring barrels which are linked in series. It also comes with a balance stopping complication. The new functions however, includes a date and a GMT function plus a few new indications. At the back is a twelve-edged back that adds a rather youthful vibe to the legendary watch.

Panerai's tasteful color choices is evident in this series. They have selected a limited number of colors to go against the beautiful steel case dial. The models come with different straps; one with black leather, and the second with a brown natural untreated leather. It must be the fans' clamor for a beautiful steel watch that urged Panerai to come up with a dapper design inspired by the 1940s Italian Navy. This new series are crafted from AISI 316L stainless steel, with a polished finish and water-resistance capabilities of up to 100 meters. Tastefully minimalist, this watch collection offers classic aesthetics that will still be loved, even by the next generations to come.
