Swiss watch brand Longines served as the Official Partner, Official Timekeeper, and Official Watch of the 36th Breeders’ Cup World Championships, which took place on Friday 1 and Saturday 2 November in Santa Anita, CA (USA). On Saturday, Vino Rosso and his jockey Irad Ortiz Jr., galloped to victory in the Longines Breeders’ Cup. On the same day, Longines returned as the Title Partner of the Longines Breeders’ Cup Distaff, won by Blue Prize, as well as of the Longines Breeders’ Cup Turf, won by Bricks and Mortar. The winning connections of these three races received elegant timepieces from the hands of Longines representatives.
The weekend was also marked by the much-awaited Longines Prize for Elegance, in keeping with the brand’s motto ‘Elegance is an Attitude’. The fashion contest celebrated individual expressions of elegance, rewarding those Breeders’ Cup attendees who exude style, sophistication and confidence with a Longines timepiece.
As the Official Watch of the Breeders’ Cup, Longines was also delighted to highlight a new model from The Longines Master Collection. Powered by a new self-winding movement developed exclusively for Longines, this timepiece is characterized by a moon phase indicator and a refined aesthetic, creating a balance between technical excellence and classic elegance.
