Clad with a spirit of sports, yet still glowing with a dainty feminine touch is Jaquet Droz's first feminine model of the Grande Second SW. This new offering, encased in a 41 mm dial set with 40 diamonds, radiate only with absolute modernity. It beckons in the world where athleticism meets one's great fondness for jewelry–a woman of pure competition and victory.

This project was inspired by the number 8, one of the most prided forms in the Jaquet Drox catalog. It is a symbol of perfection, of balance and of infinity; a gorgeous silhouette where the Grand Second series have been inspired since the Enlightenment. From its facade, the watch's two superimposed subdials stir up the architecture of watchmaking by paying tribute to this luxurious form in a poetic design.

Since its conception in 2008, the Grand Seconde SW has always been all about athleticism, made with a discernible built that has made it among the top timepiece models of the Jaquet Droz brand. This year, a new version steps out of the curtain, and it is all about women. The imposing, sporty yet precious design matches the female will in the Grande Seconde SW Lady, where the distinguished construction is still recognizable. Sandwiched in a stainless steel 41 mm case, the watch series is now embedded with diamonds and are set on the fluted bezel, shining with the reflections of the ring and the plates in immaculate white gold. The brushed and polished case adds to the more alluring design of the model, where details are given special attention, such as the horns, which have been hollowed for better lightness. The crown's rubber cast showcases a dynamic touch, offering water resistance up to 50 meters. The mix of Roman and Arabic numerals radiate in Superluminova inking, allowing it to shine in the dark while displaying time as legible as ever. Inside, a silicon balance spring comes with the movement, protecting it from magnetic fields or drastic changes in the harsh environment.

Firmly sporty and gorgeously contemporary, the Grande Seconde SW Lady is a lovely take on women, valuing luxury and victory at the same time. The alligator leather strap which is integrated into the case, is colored into an elegant soft violet, a charming hue every woman would love. The movement is visible through the clear sapphire crystal glass, in which the heartbeat of the mechanism can be traced through the hollowed out-weight perched on the sunray-clad Côtes de Genève. Other than the famous twin stars logo, a secret signature of Jaquet Droz also shines in the design: a clover leaf, which is subtly illustrated on the movement.
