Hamilton watches, known for their pioneering role in the worlds of aviation and cinema as well as their innovative timekeeping technology, and Los Angeles Confidential magazine, the premiere luxury, lifestyle publication in Los Angeles, hosted the 9th annual Hamilton Behind the Camera Awards on November 6, 2016 at the Exchange LA in Downtown Los Angeles.

With countless efforts happening “behind-the-scenes” producing a major motion film, the awards ceremony paid tribute to the brilliant talents whose individual work contributes to the quality of a film and to the lasting impression that it has on movie audiences and the cinema world.

The award-winning First Lady of ABC’s “Scandal, Bellamy Young, hosted this years’ awards ceremony joined by an elite assembly of A-list actors, actresses and award-winning filmmakers to present these most illustrious awards.

The honorees are selected from movies released during the year and/or qualified and presented at the most recent prestigious movie festivals of Cannes, Toronto and Venice as well as at the Festival of the American Film Institute. This year’s honorees and presenters have received over 126 Oscar, Golden Globe, Emmy, BAFTA and SAG Awards and nominations.

In addition to the 15 categories represented in this year’s edition, two amazing performances enlivened the show during the ceremony. Former American Idol contestant Juliana Chahayed performed Elvis Presley’s “Can’t Help Falling In Love” from Blue Hawaii as a tribute to one of the first Hamilton movie role and in honor of the 55th Anniversary of the film. Finally the stylish and tremendously talented crew Poreotics, the grand champions in “America’s Best Dance Crew”, and also ranked #1 in the US International Hip Hop competition, energized the assembly with their amazing moves and got the party rolling!
