A new addition to Girard-Perregaux's woman collection is the Cat's Eye Majestic, in which the brand takes to light its prominent secular favorite. Known as a pioneer in the symphonic harmony of mechanical movement in feminine-inspired timepieces, the brand releases another dose of wonder with the newest Cat's Eyes series, unmistakable among its prized possessions, after winning the highly coveted title of "Watch of the Year."

Since 2004, the Cat's Eyes watch series have been capturing hearts of many women. One could only fall in love with the oval case that embraces a legendary tourbillon blessed with a gold bridge. Carrying a nod to fine innovation and exquisite horology, the iconic shape finds a bolder, more sophisticated interpretation in its newest offering. This time, Girard-Perregaux revisits the possibility of a new vertical-oval shape design set with further embellishments and a fresh manufacture movement.

The Cat's Eye Majestic comes endowed with a purposely feminine case, set with about 60 brilliant-cut diamond studs, gems and were placed around a shiny mother-of-pearl dial. A delicate sun-burst decoration glimmers for the pink gold version, while a guilloche dial highlights the beauty of the steel and bi-color (steel and pink gold) versions. Both ornaments emphasize the symmetry of a perfect vertical oval. Inside, refined leaf-shaped hands indicate the passing of moments upon two indexes. The gold Roman numerals stand out at 6 and 12 o'clock for the steel and pink gold versions, while the rest are marked with diamonds. This well-thought dimension is lavishly placed inside a 34.72 x 40mm case.

Taking its strong identity from the brand's high horological expertise, the Cat's Eye Majestic  beats with the mechanical manufacture movement made specifically for its design: the automatic winding GP03300. This movement was entirely conceived and manufactured in Girard-Perregaux's own workshops, featuring 199 components, 27 jewels and beats with 28,800 vph. The caliber inside is layered in a sandwich of 25.60mm width and 4.54 thickness, finished off with a 46 hours of power reserve for utmost performance.

Extreme attention the details has been implemented, visibly seen through the watch's remarkable decorations and finishing at the sapphire crystal case-back. From here, one can see the straight-grained, chamfered Côtes de Genève motif mainplate and bridges. The oscillating weight, on the other hand, comes with a stunning tapestry pattern and the brand's logo.

The watch can be worn with different strap styles: one of black alligator leather, a pink gold bracelet, or a bi-color string to suit any occasion.
